Inter-Regional Residential ACAT Psychotherapy Training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy

The first round of interviews for the Inter-Regional Residential ACAT Psychotherapy Training has now been completed and places offered to the successful applicants.  A few places remain and application have again opened to enable any late applicants to apply.  It is unlikely that another intake will occur before 2017/2018 at the earliest.

This course is open to any applicant who has completed or is about to complete their Practitioner Training in CAT (on case 7/8 and written work near completion at time of interview) who wishes to continue with their professional development and seek accreditation as a UKCP CAT Psychotherapist.

The course is designed to be accessible to CAT Practitioners around the country and from further afield e.g. Dublin.  It is structured around six five-day residential blocks, once a term for two taught years, in addition to more local seminar groups and tutorials.  The residential blocks take place in the comfortable, peaceful location of Holland House, near Evesham, Worcestershire, in a beautiful 16th century retreat.

Application Pack

This involves a full CV, an application form, three personal summaries (600 words each) and an application fee of £35 (non-refundable). If selected for interview there will be a further cost of £85.

Course Fees

The course fees are £3550 per year. This consists of £1050 for the residential accommodation and the remainder for teaching, seminars, tutorials, marking, core administration and ACAT’s yearly trainee registration fee.

Application Fee and How to Pay

£35 is payable with the initial application. We prefer payment online, via the ACAT website, however, you are also welcome to pay by cheque. To pay the application fee online by credit or debit card, please click here.

Dates

Late applications are now being requested by the end of January 2015

The interview week for late applicants is planned to take place during week commencing 2 February 2015 at Holland House.

The course starts in May 2015.
The first residential is 1st – 5th June 2015.
The intake to the course is biennial.
