Request for Nominations to the Board of Trustees - closed 17th August 2020 at noon

It is required by our Memorandum and Articles of Association that at each AGM at least one third of Trustees stands down (with the opportunity to stand for re-election if so wished).  The maximum number of Trustees on the Board at any one time is twelve.

Nominations for election to the Board are invited from voting members of ACAT (ie fully paid up Practitioners, Psychotherapists, and Life Members), and from lay people.  Currently a maximum of two Lay Trustees are permitted on the Board at any one time.

Nominations will open on Wednesday, 29th July and close at noon on Monday, 17th August 2020.  Please note that nominations received by ACAT Administration after the closing date cannot be accepted.

A nomination form will be available on the ACAT website whilst nominations are open, and will then be removed.

The list of those nominated and therefore standing for election will be detailed in the AGM booklet of papers which will be available on the website in early September.  The booklet will also contain agenda, annual reports, annual accounts etc.  Please note that, due to current circumstances, the AGM booklet will not be printed and posted this year.

Voting by Proxy - closed 23rd September at noon

If you are a full voting member and cannot attend the meeting but wish to vote on the reports to be submitted to the AGM, as well as those nominated to the Board of Trustees, a ‘Voting by Proxy’ form is available at the back of the AGM booklet or can be downloaded separately (please scroll to the end of this page).  ‘Voting by Proxy’ forms must be received by ACAT Administration by 12 noon on Wednesday, 23rd September.  Please note that forms arriving after that date will not be counted.
