Notice

We hereby give notice that the ACAT Annual General Meeting will be held during the ACAT Conference from 4.30 to 5.30 pm on Friday, 6^th July 2018 in Westminster Theatre, Chancellor’s, Keele University, Keele, Staffordshire, ST5 5BG

Request for Nominations to the Board of Trustees - Nominations have now closed

It is required by our Memorandum and Articles of Association that at each AGM at least one third of Trustees stands down (with the opportunity to stand for re-election if so wished).  ACAT currently has ten Trustees and the following four will be standing down at the 2018 AGM: 

• Jay Dudley and Ruth Carson are standing down and not seeking re-election.
• Marilyn Ramsden (Lay) and Karen Shannon are standing down and standing for re-election.

Nominations for election to the Board of Trustees with and without office are invited from voting members of ACAT (fully paid up Practitioners, Psychotherapists, and Life Members).

A nomination form is available for download at the end of this page or via email maria.cross@acat.me.uk and must be received by the ACAT Office no later than 12.00 noon on Thursday, 31^st May 2018. 

ACAT welcomes nominations for lay people as well as members of ACAT.  There are up to two places on the Board open to lay people, and the maximum number of Trustees on the Board is twelve (including lay members).

The list of those nominated and therefore standing for election will be detailed in the AGM booklet of papers to be sent out to all members in June 2018.  This booklet will also contain agenda, annual reports, annual accounts etc.

Voting by Proxy - this has now closed

If you cannot attend the meeting but wish to vote on the reports to be submitted to the AGM as well as those nominated to the Board of Trustees, a Voting by Proxy Form will be included in the AGM booklet.  The Proxy Form and AGM booklet are also available for download at the end of this webpage.

Please note:  the closing date for Voting by Proxy is Friday, 29^th June 2018 at 12 noon

Trainee Representative

We currently have a vacancy for a trainee member of ACAT to represent trainees on the ACAT committees.  Course directors are encouraged to send in nominations by Friday, 29th June 2018 – a nomination form is available for download at the end of this page.

Please note, this is not open to membership vote.

Chair of the Equality & Diversity Committee

Nominations are invited for the role of Chair of the Equality and Diversity Committee.  

The Chair, a member of the Council of Management, is required to attend Board and Council meetings in London, generally held three times per year, in addition to two Equality and Diversity meetings per year.  For more information, please contact the ACAT office:  admin@acat.me.uk

24th Annual ACAT Conference 2018

As mentioned, the AGM is being held during the 24^th Annual ACAT Conference at Keele University from 5^th to 7^th July 2018.  The Conference this year is entitled ‘Therapist authenticity, creativity and use of positive resources in Cognitive Analytic Therapy’.  For more information and to book please click here.  We do hope to see you at both events but you are, of course, welcome to attend just the AGM (no charge) if you wish.

12 noon Thursday, 31st May 2018	Closing date for receipt of nominations to the Board of Trustees (originals only please by post)
June 2018	AGM Booklet sent out to members - voting by proxy form included and Voting by Proxy opens

12 noon - Friday, 29th June 2018	Closing date for submission of Voting by Proxy forms (originals only please by post)
4.30 pm - Friday, 6th July 2018	Annual General Meeting
