Band 8 Consultant - Humber Mental Health Forensic Services

A vacancy exists for a band 8c Consultant who has undertaken the advanced training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy.  The post forms part of Humber Mental Health's Forensic Services development of secure provision for personality disordered offenders, providing in-put directly to the Forensic Services. We work closely within an MDT setting and the successful applicant would be expected to work within our internationally known Integrated Care Pathway model and be prepared to undertake the role of responsible clinician in time with appropriate support and training. This is an exciting new development providing 15 beds within a secure setting with a clinical and consultancy model which will be based within a CAT framework. Forensic experience is definitely not a necessity as the emphasis of this post will be to set up and inform CAT practice and consultancy within our newly developing service, which will be supported by other suitably qualified clinical/forensic psychologists. The successful candidate will take a lead in the development of the service prior to its anticipated opening in early 2010.

For informal enquiries, or to arrange a visit, please contact Drew McAnespie, Consultant Clinical Psychologist on 01482 336224.

Closing date 30/07/09.
