Clinical Psychologist / Counselling Psychologist/ Psychotherapist – Band 8a full time

Enfield Complex Care Team

We are looking for a qualified and experienced clinical/ counselling psychologist or psychotherapist to be part of the development and delivery of psychological therapies and psychologically informed care in the Single Intervention Treatment stream with the Enfield Complex Care Team (ECCT). The successful applicant will have a core profession (e.g. psychology ) and  will also be a full qualified relational therapist, such as being a Cognitive Analytic Therapist (CAT) (accredited by ACAT as a practitioner) or Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) (accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council, BPC) .  S/he will have experience with and an interest in working with complex non-psychotic cases in Adult Mental Health.  S/he will be based at the Chase Farm Hospital.

ECCT provides both multi-disciplinary care and stand alone psychological therapy for HoNOS Clusters 4 – 8. The team is structured into three streams, PTSD, Personality Disorder (specifically for those with EUPD), and Mood Anxiety and Personality (MAP) and psychological therapists are located within a treatment stream.  Alongside this structure is stand-alone Single Intervention Psychological Therapy provision of CBT, CAT and systemic therapy . It is anticipated that the successful applicant for this post will divide their time between the MAP stream and the provision of psychological therapies within the Single Intervention Stream (SIT). There is a thriving group treatment programme in each of the treatment streams and the successful applicant/s will be required to contribute to this within the stream they are located in. The post will involve both clinical and leadership responsibilities within the Single Intervention Stream (SIT). This will involve working alongside both the Consultant Clinical Psychologist and the SIT stream lead.

However, this service will be reorganised in the near future and the post holder will have a key role in working alongside the team to ensure that a high standard of care is maintained within the newly configured teams.

We value Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and offer Specialist supervision groups led by senior clinicians in the various therapeutic approaches.  As a service we also have considerable experience in providing training, from clinical placements to organised training events which have included CBT, CAT and MBT.

Candidates must be registered with an appropriate Professional Body, such as the HCPC.
