We are seeking to appoint a skilled and experienced practitioner (either a Counselling or Clinical Psychologist or a Psychotherapist) with qualifications in Cognitive Analytic Therapy to support and deputise for the Course Director of the North London CAT Training course. The successful applicant will be able to provide CAT supervision to groups of trainees and staff at the Halliwick Centre at St Ann’s Hospital. They will have experience of delivering CAT therapy, and of supervising and teaching CAT, preferably of providing training as part of an accredited course. They will be keen to develop this further. The role will require deputising for the Course Director, and working on the development and delivery of the 2 year training course, as well as on development of other initiatives related to CAT and clinical services.
You will have a high level of training in CAT and will be able to demonstrate your skill in delivering assessments, CAT as both an individual therapy and in work with teams or consultation applications, and in supervising clinicians to provide interventions. 
Amongst key areas of responsibility will be to support the development and delivery of CAT training in a changing service, providing a supervisory function for clinicians training in CAT and other staff/trainees delivering CAT all of whom are working with patients with complex presentations, provision of assessments and therapy for patients within the service, and undertaking organisational aspects of CAT training. 
The post is for one year in the first instance. We anticipate that the post will be extended on an on-going basis.
