Senior CAT Therapist, Band 8a

Would you like to make a real difference to patients with long term mental health problems. We would like to hear from you if you are an enthusiastic accredited ACAT CAT Therapist, wanting to develop your clinical, supervisory and leadership skills. You will be working with a supportive friendly team which is part of the integrated specialist Adult Mental Health Team. Please apply if you can demonstrate:

• Experience of leadership and management of therapy staff
• Evidence of significant knowledge in your specialist therapy area
• A good working knowledge of effective treatments
• Sound clinical risk assessment and management
• Experience of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
• Substantial experience of supervision with therapists and other clinical staff

Excellent supervision is provided by senior Therapists to help you consolidate your therapy skills in a focused and supported way.

• New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
• Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
