Whitley Bay, North Tyneside [Karen Ellis]

Since retiring from the NHS in 2018, I  now offer therapy from my private practice, based in an Holistic Therapy Centre in Whitley Bay.  Appointments are Monday mornings, afternoons and evenings. I work with Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and also Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Where appropriate, I use EFT as part of a CAT therapy. EFT can be introduced as a self-soothing technique, alongside others, to assist with emotional distress and can also be used in therapy, to gently process traumatic memories/experiences.

My special interests include working with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression and also those with physical health challenges. My work is concerned with supporting and assisting someone to live their best life possible, despite the current or past experiences they have lived through or are living with.

My background is a 26 year career in the NHS, first as a Mental Health nurse (RMN), then specialising in the Psychological therapies since 2001. My last decade in the NHS was working  as a Psychological Therapist within cancer care services.

If you would like to explore the possibility of working together, please contact me on karen@sanctuarytherapies.co.uk or text/telephone : 07366 476948.

I like to arrange an initial free 20 minute telephone appointment, for a mutually convenient time, where I can answer any questions you may have and we can work out if I am  offering what you are looking for.
