CPD EVENTS

Miranda Buckley & John Bristow

The feedback from the March ACAT conference was enthusiastic. We are arranging for Annie Nehmad and Mina Bancheva to repeat in the early autumn, in London, their popular workshops on ‘From Strength to Strength: Harnessing the Power of Positive Procedures (and other ways of enhancing CAT)’ and ‘Family Constellations and CAT: reciprocal roles through the generations?’, so as to open these up to a wider audience. We are also very pleased that in the autumn Eva Burns-Lundgren and Margaret Landale will be presenting again their double workshop in Oxford on Working with the Body in CAT, an outcome of the 2005 CAT conference. Please visit the website or ring the ACAT office for further details, as these will not be posted by flyer.

The AGM on Saturday November 18th is an important date for your diary, and ACAT needs your presence there.
We are hoping to be able to organise an interesting presentation in the afternoon, details of which will be circulated later.

In November Miranda Buckley’s term on Council comes to an end and we would much value any offers to replace her as event organiser, alongside John Bristow, for the South East. It is a role which would help you to keep in touch with theoretical and clinical developments in CAT and in psychotherapy generally, as well the enriching your network in the CAT community and further a-field.

We urgently need more presenters for seminars and workshops. Supervisors could help with this, in encouraging suitable supervisees to come forward for it as part of their own professional development. Trainers could also encourage appropriate trainees. Please consider helping in this way.
