We are looking for an enthusiastic 0.8 wte Band 7 Cognitive Analytic Therapist accredited by ACAT to join our large, dynamic, multi-orientation Psychological Therapies Service.
CIPTS is an established and well respected integrated psychological therapy service in adult secondary care. It comprises CAT Psychotherapists, Psychodynamic Psychotherapists, and Clinical and Counselling Psychologists offering CBT. Additionally the team offers consultation, supervision and interface links to mental health colleagues working in community assessment and treatment teams.
The team provides a rich learning environment with good opportunities for cross-modality working, including regular complex case discussion forums, assessment decision forums, journal and academic meetings, a trauma practice group and team reflective practice. The trust also offers excellent internal CPD opportunities.
The team is currently based at Tamworth Road Resource Centre in Central Croydon. Clinical sessions are provided at base and from other locations in Croydon. The post holder will be expected to work across venues. There are excellent transport links in the area.
Candidates approaching the end of their formal CAT training should consider applying if they have considerable previous NHS experience. We would also consider job share/part time working.
