PhysCAT is the Special Interest Group for CAT in Physical Health settings, and NECAT is the group for North-East England
Bookings for this event through ACAT - this is not an ACAT Event
We have composed a rich day to explore CAT-based approaches to working with physical symptoms, which we hope will be of interest to all practitioners as well as those working in physical health contexts. Presentations will draw upon experience in a variety of ways in Women’s Health, Pain Oncology, Liaison Psychiatry, Palliative Care and Gastroenterology. There will be individual case presentations, distillations of core themes, and explorations of applying the model to support Multi-Disciplinary Team working. We will look at the challenges of introducing CAT to a service and how the CAT model can serve as a frame to introduce other therapeutic modalities, such as EMDR and other body-based methodologies.
