Professional Development Day

Neurobiology and CAT

Friday 25th November 2016, 9.30am – 4.30pm

Presenter: Annie Nehmad

Location: Royal Station Hotel, Neville Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, NE1 5DH Tel: 0191 232 0781

Annie Nehmad will introduce some of the ideas and findings of contemporary neurobiology, especially the ideas of Dan Siegel (his Inter Personal Neuro Biology is profoundly relational). Annie will also initiate a discussion on the implications of these new findings for CAT theory and practice.

Annie’s main hopes for the day are to:

  • “whet the appetite” of participants, so that they want to find out more about neurobiology.
  • develop a new conversation, perhaps especially with participants who are already familiar with some of these ideas, so we can consider together the implications for CAT.

Annie Nehmad is a founder member of ACAT and an experienced and lively presenter. She is the author of two chapters in the forthcoming book on CAT Supervision. In relation to contemporary Neurobiology, she describes herself as an enthusiast rather than an expert.

Cost: £80 including lunch.

See flyer for more information and booking.
