Psychological Therapies and Interventions Service
Highly Specialist Psychologist/Psychological Therapist
Band 7, £33,688- £44,413
37.5 hours per week
Due to the expansion of the Psychological Therapies and Interventions Service in Guernsey, we are looking for an additional Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to join the team within the secondary care service. The Psychological Therapies and Interventions team consists of Psychologists, Systemic Psychotherapists, a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, an approved Social Worker, Community Mental Health Nurses and a STaR worker. The service offers both short and long term psychological therapies and interventions for adults (of all ages) who have moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
The successful candidate will join a busy team which forms part of the multi disciplinary adult mental health service. Although you will be expected to conduct psychological assessments and interventions for service users with a variety of difficulties, there is also the possibility of developing specialist clinics within the service. In addition, you will help other mental health professionals develop psychologically informed formulations and provide training to others.
The Health and Social Services Department has a strong commitment to ongoing CPD.
The post will carry a 5 year Housing Licence linked to the employment contract together with an attractive relocation package.
