Cognitive Analytic Therapist Band 6
NHS Job Reference: 184-FEB.84.15
Employer: Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
Department: Psychological Therapies Service
Location: Yeovil
Salary: £25,783 - £34,530 per annum, pro rata
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cognitive Analytic Therapist (CAT) to join the CAT Service in Somerset’s Secondary Care Psychological Therapies Service. We pride ourselves on delivering extremely high quality therapy. The core task of the post holder will be to offer individual therapy to people who present with severe and complex mental health problems, including for example a history of childhood abuse and/or neglect, and difficulties in managing relationships.
The struggles of those we see are rooted in multiple early traumas that have significantly impinged on development and seriously affect many domains in current life. A robust understanding of and capacity to manage clinical risk, challenging behavior and safeguarding issues is a vital component of the clinical work of this post.
We place great value on effective supervision to maintain high clinical standards. The post holder will be supported and contained through regular clinical supervision with an experienced CAT supervisor. The post holder would be expected to participate actively in the Trust-wide evidence-based administration of a range of outcome measures as part of the evaluation of our service. You will be line managed by the CAT Service Lead and work closely with the wider psychological therapies team.
