Inter-Regional Residential ACAT Psychotherapy Training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy 

Applications are invited for the next intake of the Inter-Regional Residential ACAT Psychotherapy Training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy, starting in September 2023

This course is open to any applicant who has completed or is about to complete their Practitioner Training in CAT (on case 7/8 and written work near completion at time of interview) who wish to continue with their professional development and seek accreditation as a UKCP CAT Psychotherapist.

The course is designed to be accessible to CAT Practitioners around the country and from further afield. It is structured around six five-day residential blocks, once a term for two taught years, in addition to more local seminar groups and tutorials. The residential blocks take place in the comfortable, peaceful location of Holland House, near Evesham, Worcestershire, in a beautiful 16th century retreat.

Application pack

This involves a full CV, an application form, three personal summaries (600 words each) and an application fee of £45 (non-refundable). If selected for interview there will be a further cost of £100.

Course fees

The course fees are £4150 per year. This consists of £1584 for the residential accommodation and £2566 for the remainder for teaching, seminars, tutorials, marking, core administration and ACAT’s yearly trainee registration fee.

If you intend to seek funding from your employer or other organisation, we strongly advise that you start the funding application early due to possible delays or limitations due to the end of the financial year.

Application fee and how to pay

If called for interview an additional £100 will be charged.

Dates

The interview week is planned to take place during week commencing 5th June 2023 at Holland House. The interview process involves a days commitment. Depending on the number of applicants there may be a further interview week.

The course starts in September 2023.

The first residential is 2nd – 6th October 2023.

The intake to the course is biennial.
