CAT, ID AND TRAUMA
This conference is for people working or connected with intellectual disabilities who are interested in how the relational model of Cognitive Analytic Therapy can help us to navigate around complex situations. We know how trauma hurts people with intellectual disabilities and carers. Our conference focuses on trauma including:
The incidence and measurement of childhood adversity for people with intellectual disabilities,
Parents coping with the trauma of having a child with learning disabilities
How death is treated within services
Transforming Care
The trauma of women with intellectual disabilities who offend.
A CAT case example
Throughout the Conference we shall be demonstrating how the CAT tool of mapping out relational patterns can help us navigate around what is going on instead of risking being overwhelmed by all this trauma.
The price is £60.00 which includes lunch and refreshments.
