CAT Cumbria aims:
To increase access to CAT in the Lake District, and be a support network for CAT therapists in rural areas

Saturday October 7th, 10am – 4.30pm
Venue:
Hawkshead, near Ambleside. Overlooking fells and Esthwaite Water. 40 minutes from M6, junctions 36 or 40. Directions will be provided on booking. Lifts can be arranged from Windermere Station.

Presenters:
Jo Varela: Using CAT Apps to assist access to CAT Therapy
Stella Compton Dickinson: Integrating music therapy and other non-verbal mediums with CAT
Jo is a clinical psychologist and CAT Practitioner working with children and young people. Along with Steve Kellett, she is developing CAT based app tools and considering research to assess their impact on engagement and outcomes, including people with learning difficulties.
Stella is a CAT/UKCP registered therapist and CAT Supervisor. She is a healthcare researcher and Music Therapist, and was Head of Arts Therapies at Rampton high secure hospital from 2001-2013. She has researched and developed a Group Cognitive Analytic Music Therapy Model.

Voluntary contribution of £25 to cover presenter expenses and refreshments will be appreciated
