A rare opportunity has arisen to join our specialist team of Cognitive Analytic Therapists, who are based within our Community Mental Health Service across Somerset. We are looking for two CAT therapists:
30 Hours (0.8WTE) Cognitive Analytic Therapist in Somerset Coast – which covers Bridgwater area (Permanent contract)
30 Hours (0.8WTE) Cognitive Analytic Therapist in Mendip which covers the Wells and Frome area of Somerset. (18 months fixed Term contract)
The successful candidates will offer specialist CAT assessments and therapies for individuals who have complex, chronic and co-morbid mental health problems. You will also provide patient-based CAT consultancy and advice to staff working with challenging and complex clients.
Knowledge of treating patients with complex and chronic mental health problems, including personality disorders is essential.
In Somerset we are lucky to have a successful CAT practitioner training and there will be opportunities to become involved with training and developing CAT based initiatives as part of our service development.
The successful candidate will be an experienced CAT therapist and CAT supervisor (or be in the position and willing to train as a CAT supervisor). We are looking for an energetic, motivated, flexible and creative clinician with practical knowledge of delivering CAT within the NHS context.
