Primary Care Cognitive Analytic Therapy Practitioners

Wellbeing Norfolk and Waveney is a high performing Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service which is delivered as part of a well-established partnership between Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT), Mind and Relate. Our IAPT service provides community orientated, evidence-based psychological therapies for people from the age of 16 with common mental health problems of anxiety and low mood with a range of presentations.

We offer a range of psychological, employment and social interventions across Norfolk & Waveney to over 18,000 people every year. Therapies offered include: one-to-one guided self- help, CBT, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Couples Therapy for Depression, Counselling for Depression and EMDR.

Wellbeing Norfolk and Waveney is expanding, as we continue to work with people living with Long Term Conditions (physical health problems). We offer evidence based psychological treatments to help individuals to live well with their condition, and strengthen links with key physical health colleagues in our area.

Can you help us by bringing your skills, experience and commitment to Wellbeing Norfolk and Waveney? We are a service committed to compassionate leadership and the development of our staff is important to us. You will receive regular supervision as well as in service training and CPD days that ensure your continued learning and development. We are a research-friendly service currently involved in a number of projects focussing on improving outcomes for our service users, and ways of developing the support offered to therapists to achieve this. We are also passionate about technology, utilising virtual reality and other innovations where these aid therapy and improve the experience for our service users.

We are looking for a number of dynamic, confident and forward thinking professionals, with a commitment to providing high quality services to take on the role of Primary Care CAT Practitioners across our primary care Wellbeing Service in Norfolk and Waveney.

This is a community based role, however will support remote working. You will be responsible for offering CAT and CAT-informed therapy in primary, helping the service develop services for clients in this setting, and to contribute to the evidence base of CAT. As part of an IAPT service, you will require excellent interpersonal skills, a positive approach to change, and a desire to improve services to meet the needs of the community.

You will ensure high quality therapy is provided in your work and support the teams in meeting the needs of our client group, measured by our key performance outcomes. You will be enthusiastic about developing CAT within a primary care setting, and innovating practice, whilst remaining in line with evidence. You will receive regular line management and clinical supervision as well as clinical development opportunities.
