We invite applications from appropriately qualified and experienced people for the above new post, designed to increase the availability of therapy to those with the most severe and complex needs across the entire age-range from 18 upwards. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of therapy directly to clients, and also for working alongside colleagues in order to make a significant contribution to a shared understanding and treatment of difficulties encountered by individuals. The latter element of the role will include teaching, supervision and coaching in the workplace.
You will be expected to target their work with those who experience complex difficulties, especially personality disorder and other co-morbid presentations.
The post holder will be required to contribute to developing the psychological therapies service in Scarborough, Whitby & Ryedale. You will need to develop a presence in teams and clinical areas in this largely rural setting and to show leadership in enhancing access to help for those in the most need. You will provide support, supervision and consultation to colleagues as part of the further promotion of a psychologically-aware service and a formulatory culture.
•A relevant professional qualification in nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, social work etc. - enhanced by post-graduate qualification in either CBT or CAT is essential. You will have substantial experience of working at bands 5 or 6 (or equivalent) along with substantial experience of leadership within a health care or social care setting.
