I have been a Psychiatrist for the past 12 years working in the NHS and during this time developed a Special interest in Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CAT) which has a relational and compassion focused approach that applies to virtually every one. I have been practising as CAT practioner for the past 3 years along side my role as a Psychiatrist and prior to fully achieving my practitioner role in 2021, I had about 5 years of experience as a CAT trainee. Thus, I have experience in working with clients presenting with relational conflicts, Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Gender dysphoria, Domestic abuse, Addictions and Personality Disorders.

I had the privilege of introducing a CAT clinic for my patients during the period of about 22 months working in the Perinatal Mental Health Service for Cheshire and Wirral NHS Foundation Trust and this has added to the wealth of knowledge and experience I have achieved as a CAT practitioner.
