Newark and Nottingham [Katherine Huke]

I am an accredited CAT practitioner and HCPC registered clinical psychologist.  I have over 14 years' post qualification experience within NHS mental health services, working with both adults and teenagers.  I am currently employed as a lead clinical psychologist in the NHS, but also have a small private practice.

As a clinical psychologist I have training in a number of evidence based psychological therapies.  I can therefore tailor interventions based on my clients' needs, and work collaboratively with people to develop a shared understanding of the difficulties experienced.   In addition to Cognitive Analytical Therapy I also have training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).  I am able to offer therapy for a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and working with the effects of childhood trauma and adult abuse.

I offer a confidential and professional service that is approachable and friendly.

I can offer appointments in Newark on a Wednesday.

I am contactable  by email at  My hours of working are part time and flexible, however I always aim to respond within 48 hours.
