South Birmingham [Jeanette McLoughlin]

I am an accredited CAT practitioner, having qualified in 2004, and also a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist.  I work with adults with a range of psychological problems, having started my career as a psychologist in the National Health Service in 1992. My specialist areas of work include interpersonal problems, identity issues, eating disorders and the psychological consequences of discrimination. I have also qualified as a CAT supervisor which has helped me to develop my CAT skills further.

My love for CAT as a therapeutic model has endured over many years: I find the mix of a focus on the therapeutic relationship alongside a clear structure allows for a fruitful exploration of the many issues which may lie behind the immediately observable difficulties that clients bring.  I also feel it allows for great flexibility and the incorporation of the many ways of coping which clients bring to the table when I first meet them.

If you want to know more about me, including my rates, you can visit my website which is at https://www.khmpsychologypractice.co.uk

I work online only at present using Zoom, although I am happy to use other online platforms if you would prefer.  My working days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and I can be flexible in offering appointments into the early evening.  I am happy to have an informal discussion by phone initially to help you decide whether CAT with me would be helfpul to you.

You can contact me by email on jmcloughlin@khmpsychologypractice.co.uk or via my website.
