Salford [Cheryl Delisser]

I began my CAT training in 2006 and am currently a UKCP Registered and ACAT accredited CAT Psychotherapist and supervisor.

I have worked in mental health services in Greater Manchester for over 20 years in a variety of roles. For the largest part of my career this involved offering individual and group CAT to adults with secondary care mental health needs in a NHS specialist psychotherapy service.

Currently I work in a child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) offering individual CAT to adolescents and using CAT to inform care plans and facilitate MDT case formulation groups.

In my private work, in addition to offering CAT supervision, personal reformulations, reflective practice groups and training, I have offered workshops on topics including CAT groups, working with self harm, the value of laughter in therapy and modelling vulnerability in supervision.

My initial attraction to CAT began with a wish to combine the skills I had developed from post graduate training in CBT and a one year group analysis training. I also have training in psychodynamic interpersonal therapy (PIT) and transference focused psychotherapy (TFP).

I have particular interests in CAT supervision and therapy groups, active mapping, social identity, and raising relational awareness for people in both therapy and non-therapy settings (through workshops, supervision and personal reformulations).

At present I am unabe to offer weekly therapy. I am however able to offer CAT personal reformulations (see for more info) and supervision.

My current availability is in the evenings, Monday to Friday.
