Durham, and via remote media [Caroline Dower]

I am an experienced CAT practitioner, Integrative Psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer.  I have run a private practice for 20 years.  I offer therapeutic support for a wide range of difficulties, drawing together a range of approaches which at heart focus on the ways our habitual ways of relating to ourselves and to others are restricting our enjoyment of life and capacity to move forward.   I view change as the opening of new possibilities and choices.  I have a particular interest in the impact of difficulties upon our bodies, in terms of physical symptoms and also in the ways we move and relate to others and to the world.

I enjoy supervision and training roles, and welcome enquiries for the supervision of NHS or private practice work, and for the delivery of workshops or retreat training weekends for psychological practitioners.

My employed roles have been as a Consultant Psychotherapist in the NHS and as the Head of Service for Durham University.  I am now engaged in academic research in addition to my private practice.  Prior to training as a psychotherapist I worked as a Strategic Management Consultant.  I can provide organisational consulting and coaching projects drawing upon the CAT relational model to understand and change management styles and organisational culture.
