Hi, I’m Jennie Larsson (nee Abbott) and am an experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist and qualified CAT Practitioner working in private practice and the NHS in Newcastle and Gateshead. Many people struggle with mental health difficulties at different times in their lives and can feel like it’s hard to make sense of this. I love working with CAT to help people gain an understanding of the way they relate to themselves and those around them and why they may struggle with this at times. I enjoy helping people to explore patterns that they may feel stuck with, and to learn how to make changes to these and find alternate ways of approaching different situations. 

I have over 12 years experience working with adults within the NHS across a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, grief, stress, relationship struggles and emotional difficulties. I also have a specialist interest in eating disorders and experience working with anorexia, bulimia and weight management. I am passionate about psychological wellbeing and always work to provide a compassionate, safe space for therapy.
